The opportunity to play in a group is an important part of music instruction and a valuable supplement to private lessons. Ensembles meet weekly, working on repertoire for community performances. Instrumentalists are welcome to join our ensembles whether or not they are also taking private lessons at Community Music School.

For adults who enjoy performing, we offer the new CMS Adult Performing Ensemble. Directed by Tom Briggs, this group is open to any instrumentalists: brass, woodwinds, strings and percussion (including keyboard). Mr. Briggs will arrange your personal music according to your skill level so that everyone who is interested will be comfortable. A good time is sure to be had by all!.
