As with most not-for-profit arts organizations, tuition covers just a portion of the costs of providing quality programs each year. CMS donors make possible scholarships to those in need, performance opportunities for students, new program development, music therapy to promote wellness, and outreach to the larger community. We thank our students and families, many friends - both individuals and businesses - and all who share our vision for a healthy, growing and vibrant school!
As a not-for-profit organization, all gifts to CMS are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
You can designate your gift to a specific fund or choose to have it remain unrestricted to support any area of need.
Unrestricted donations to our Friends of Note annual campaign support every aspect of our programs, from sheet music for ensembles to community recitals and concerts. Become a Friend of Note today!

CMS SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Each year, we give approximately $15,000 in financial assistance to students of all ages. You can contribute to this fund at any time during the year or donate to one of our fundraising events, so that scholarships continue to be there for students in need.
BUY A KEY - Every year we strive to purchase a piano to reduce our dependence on a lease program. Each of the 88 keys on a piano keyboard is available for sponsorship for $42 per key to help meet our goal.
CMS CAPITAL FUND - CMS will improve and upgrade or facilities with your help. Gifts to this fund will be earmarked for maintenance and expansion of our studios.
FACULTY APPRECIATION - Recognize the exceptional talent and dedication of our faculty members with a gift that will support professional development and performance.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS - Individuals and businesses can sponsor a special program, such as Theory and Performance, or provide funding for the development of new initiatives with a gift of $1,000 or more.

Attending special events offers a great way to support CMS while having fun!
Sponsors, attendees, and auction donors support the annual CMS Gala and Auction Party each spring. To learn more about the 2012 CMS Gala: A Magical Myster Tour on April 21, 2012, please contact the Business Office at 860-767-0026.
CMS Community Concerts take place throughout the year and your ticket purchase or at-will donation goes directly to support continued outreach.
Host a third party event to benefit CMS! Your event could be a special dine-in night at a local restaurant with a percent of all dining tabs designated to CMS; a house concert featuring a CMS faculty member with suggested donation; a home party (i.e. Pampered Chef Fundraiser Cooking Show) with proceeds to benefit CMS. The possibilities are endless and we are happy to advise with the planning!
