Flute. CMS Woodwinds Dept. Lead Faculty

Pamela DubeyPamela Allen Dubey (flute) received a B.A. in Music from the University of Colorado and a Master's Degree from New York University.  She has been Principal Flute of the Civic Orchestra of New Haven for over ten years.  Pam also performs in other regional orchestras including the American Chamber Orchestra and the New Haven Chamber Orchestra, and in various chamber ensembles.  She toured Europe twice with the American Chamber Orchestra, and appeared as soloist with that orchestra in a 2005 tour of Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg.  She studied with Jean-Pierre Rampal in Nice, France.  Pam has been teaching flute at CMS since 2001.  She is also the Administrative Director of Musical Masterworks, a chamber music series based in Old Lyme.

Pam lives in Essex with her family, including two daughters, Erica and Margaret.  She loves teaching the flute and believes that anyone can play well if they put their mind to it! (And that practicing always helps!)
