Violin
A graduate of Baylor University in Texas, Lydia received her Bachelor's degree in violin performance, with a minor in chemistry. She and her husband Gino relocated to this area when he was hired to play in the US Coast Guard Band.
Lydia plays both violin and viola, and currently plays in the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and the Waterbury Symphony orchestras. As a teacher, she has worked with violin students for several years at all levels. We were delighted to have her substitute for Lisa Gray's maternity leave in the fall of 2009, and are even more pleased to have her join our faculty permanently in the spring of 2010.
Lydia, a native of Korea, has lived in this country for over 15 years. She and Gino are the proud parents of 1-year-old Isabella!
