Karli Gilbertson
Voice, Artist in Residence
Artist-in-Residence Karli Gilbertson is a graduate in vocal performance of the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Minnesota. Her esteemed vocal teachers have included Doris Yarick-Cross, Susan Fischer-Clickner, and Donna Pegors.
As a Resident Artist with the Connecticut Opera Company, Karli Gilbertson performed many leading roles on the Bushnell stage. These roles included Adina in The Elixir of Love, Roselinda in Die Fledermaus, Oscar in The Masked Ball, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, and the Widow in the national touring production of The Merry Widow. She has also sung with Boston Lyric Opera, New Britain Opera Co. and as a soloist with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra New England and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Ms. Gilbertson was also featured at the Williamsburg Busch Gardens as a singer/dancer in the Italian Show.
In addition to singing, Ms. Gilbertson has also composed and produced children’s operas as teaching tools as well as lending her piano/organ accompanist skills to local schools, churches and theater groups. She and her family reside in Chester.
