Danielle Salerno began her performance career at the age of 12 as a soloist with the Cape Symphony Orchestra. A member of the Greater Boston Youth Orchestra for five years, Danielle toured both Europe and Scandinavia while in high school. She won a full scholarship to the Hartt School of Music where she studied with Mitchell Stern, Bernard Lurie, and the Emerson Quartet. Danielle was a member of the Cape Symphony Orchestra for three years and won the Conductor's Award grant at the end of her first year. Previous teachers include George and Virginia Neikrug, Raphael Garcia, Theodore Arm, and Peter Sacco.
When not teaching or performing, Danielle enjoys spending time exploring new genres of music, gardening, hiking, and being entertained by her cats and dog.
