REGISTRATION
& FEES
You can register in person or by telephone. For private lessons, it is best to discuss your needs with the
Director, who can answer any questions you have and work with you to find a convenient timeslot.
When registering in advance of a school term, we require a $75 deposit with the registration form to hold the timeslot. There is a registration fee of $15.00 for each student in the Fall and Spring Terms. The tuition balance is due on or before the first lesson. Payment plans to split the balance into two or three payments are also available. Discounts are available if a student takes more than one set of lessons in a term (10%), or if two or more people in the same family take lessons during the same term (10% for
two or more). A 15% discount is offered for students age 65 and older.
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or MasterCard and Visa.

are priced separately, depending on the number of sessions, the length of the class, and the number of students expected. In
some cases, you may enter an ongoing class after it has begun, in which case
the tuition will be prorated. For information on class availability,
please contact the school.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Understandably, music lessons can be a financial burden, especially if several family members all desire to take lessons.
Through the generosity of many “friends of Community Music School”, area organizations such as the Essex Community Fund, businesses such as Essex Savings Bank, and fundraisers held throughout the year, we are able to offer financial help to students who require assistance. Please
contact the Business Office in order to request an application.
Donations to the CMS Scholarship Fund are tax-deductible for income tax purposes as provided by law. The School admits students and administers its educational and financial aid programs without regard to race, color, religious belief, age, sex, nationality or ethnic origin.
